Kouki & Atsumu: How the Dragon Met the Wolf: The Equal

Kouki discovers Atsumu lives in the luxury apartment directly across from his. A new routine forms: Kouki cooks breakfast and lunch for Atsumu, who can't cook and refuses to admit he needs help. At school, rumors spread that they're dating—and when Minako asks Kouki to "take care of Atsumu," it stings. Atsumu, embarrassed by the rumors, publicly denies their relationship and tries to push Kouki away. He attempts to confess to Haruki, but Haruki misunderstands and congratulates Atsumu on his "friendship" with Kouki. Before Atsumu can retreat completely, Kouki grabs him and makes a promise: "I'm not a dog. I'm a dragon. In old stories, dragons and wolves are equals. I'll stay by your side as your equal." Atsumu blushes, kicks him, and mutters he'd better work hard now. Kouki smiles—and wonders if he's just made the best decision of his life.
